Default Broaden PvP Party Panel in AB

90% of the time I am in Guild Wars, I am playing my monk in an Alliance Battle. As we all know, there are some people out there who still do not understand what '4-4-4' means; and so usually the teams are intertwined from the get-go.

My idea is simple: Redesign the party panel for PvP so that it displays all 11 of your team mates and their HP levels. You could either make a second party panel (maybe open/hide it with 'ctrl-P') or make an expandable section (such as when doing a mission with Prince Rurik or other NPCs) and include the other 8 players on your team. You can basically copy the original party panel with people within mini-map range having white names and out-of-range characters being grayed out; heck even display conditions.

Just my .02, I'm sure there are some members here who would like to see this added to other parts of the game besides ABs.

*Off Topic*
It would also be nice to have a little blue/red arrow on the mini-map that points to your teammates when they are out of range so you know where they are. Just something subtle like the mission objective pointer in PvE.

Why are you staring at the party panel as a Monk when you should be concentrating on the field?

\If u knew anything about playing a healing monk, u would know that it is SOOOOOOOO much easier to note ur party's hp on it, rather than ceparately looking at feild. U glance at the feild, but the party box is a mmuch easier way.

Errr...what?

How will looking at health bars 24/7 save you from a spike? You should be looking at positioning more than health bars in the P menu as a Monk.

I think tyla just got called out by a bad player.

Vizunah Square
Unwaking Waters
Alliance Battles

In all those cases, allies should appear under the Allies section in the party panel.

Now that the panel is collapsible, let's take advantage on that.

Monks are usually behind their team so they are not often attacked; during battles I will watch my party panel for their health, and every now and then glance back at the field to note our position and act accordingly. If I see that I am being attacked (by my hp dropping, curses/hexes or whatever) I will focus on the field as well (about 50/50). But it is much easier to watch the party panel than it is to click on a single player in an 8-person bar fight .

so like
all 3 teams get a number and all players come in one the same screen with their number
so it would look like this:

player a 1
player b 1
player c 1
player d 1
player e 2
player f 2
player g 2
player h 2
player i 3
player j 3
player j 3
player k 3

i'd love to see this to make monking easier in AB
also finding your team will be much easier

Yea, this would make it lot easier for the monks in AB (I always play monk in AB too).
Always looking into the field to save another partymember of the luxon/kurzick isnt easy. Especially when the group is mobbing. you cant see who is dying.

Such a noob comment, I expected more from you. How many spikes do you see in AB? No, really. Go play for a day. Let us know.

its AB he does not need to watch for a spike in AB. (most people in ab bring crap on top of crap so a prot monk is useless you can heal just fine with healing prayers in AB)

@Above 2 posts -- You see them occasionally. And either way, it isn't only spikes you should be looking for. Taking notice of the field anyway is key.

So, basicly restore the original party menu? Umm, I don't really care as monking in ab is pretty much impossible anyway... (2 teamates kiting away from you in opposite directions ftl)

So... people are idiots and don't know how to 4-4-4. How is that surprising? It's AB for crying out loud. People are stupid.

Some People observe the field, but still select people from the party box or hotkeys for that matter, would be nice to hotkey allies too btw

Coordinated spikes, not many.

Concentrated damage spikes (e.g. getting caught 8vs4, etc), often.

Calling you out on the fact that both of you are wrong. A smart monk knows how to monitor the field and keep the health bars of his party in his ever watchful peripheral vision.

1st of all, it's Alliance battle. Noone care about that.

2nd, players = human. Play game = for fun. Not like it will effect the rating of the guild or winning more in AB will give you another exclusive emote!

3rd, the map is way too big for caring too much about that!

4th, learn how to say something more constructive than suggesting something out of what you so call "Oh I'm good at the game."

To OP: The prob with this is that the party panel will be quite big. Some people like me doing more than 1 thing at the computer use Window resolution for GW. It will be quite annoying.

The other problem is that most players in AB that is not in your team = random people you never know before. It will be tough to see who is next to you that need a heal. Map is too big. Beside after death, they will ressurect and it will even make it almost impossible to heal even with the 12-man party channel.

That mean I really don't think it will improve or make any different!
